We all want a place to show our western performance horses, in different disciplines, close to home and with good competition - this is it! Enter all of them or just what you want but come join us! Three different show schedules but one year end celebration! At the end of the season we will all gather for one big get together to celebrate our achievements! WESTERN DRESSAGE CLINICS Since introducing this sport to Michigan in the spring of 2012, I am pleased to announce that it has surely grown in the horse community! With our first 3 shows a big success and lots of entries we are looking forward to our 2013 season. There are 3 Western Dressage clinics scheduled for this summer! First is March 24th at Justamere Stables starting at Noon (Western Dressage is coming to Justamere’s Summer Shows too!) Contact: Twila at (586) 295-1313 to register for this clinic, and April 6, 2013 at Tri C/V Performance Horses in Imlay City, then Wolcott Mill Farm May 18, in Wahsington MI! All events will encourage training thru structured levels. Bring your horse and take part in correctly riding a Western Dressage test. Discuss the rules, appointments, and how you too can become a part of this! GREENHORN WESTERN STOCK HORSE SHOWS With the popularity of the Greenhorn Reinings and the Ranch Shows in support of the Western Horse in our area we have expanded the showbill to include more classes and events for the Western Stock Horse. The Greenhorn Reining is now Greenhorn Western Stock Horse Shows. These shows will offer Versatility classes, reining, walk/trot options, rail classes, youth and senior divisions! Welcome! 35 years ago I began a career as a professional horseman. Along the way I have enjoyed training horses and people so both can enjoy their relationship with each other thru communication, patience and common sense. Never altering the theory that training and time make a good horse. Teaching the new horse owner or seasoned enthusiast that this is a journey to enjoy. To practice safety at all times while handling horses and that each horse is an individual who wants to only please. To build confidence in you and in your horse. A horse is something different to everyone. A show horse, a partner, a worker, a friend and a comfort – learn from my career experiences to have fun and become the best horseman you can! Hello Everyone! Never to disappoint the weather has us all chomping at the bit for summer! However, the slow coming sunshine hasn’t slowed us down getting our horses out and ready for summer! With the interest in Western Dressage starting to reach across the state the spring clinics have been very instrumental in bringing this discipline to everyone! When I was able to give a Western Dressage clinic in Grand Rapids to 12 riders the result was positive in including these riders as new supporters of the sport! Close to home the April WD clinic at Justamere farms was fun! Looking forward to attending the Western Dressage classes that Justamere has added to their Summer Schooling Series! Tri C/V hosted a WD clinic that I was pleased to see brought back several riders from 2012! Tri C/V is very instrumental in bringing Western Dressage to Michigan, hosting 2 of our summer shows! The upcoming WD clinic at the Wolcott Mill Park on May 18th is SOLD OUT, but you can register with Carol (586) 904-6652 or myself to audit this event. Recently, I was able to hold a general training clinic at Houston’s Tack and Feed. Covering a lot of areas and working with individual goals. Contact Houstons’s if you want to attend the second clinic being added soon! (810)- 602- 9055. Speaking of SOLD OUT, I am pleased to say our new Lost Lake Woods Spring Horseman’s Weekend is! This spring vacation was added in 2013 after several successful Gaylord Weekends in the fall- we just had to add another! With 21 people going this event will be packed with fun! The Summer shows are approaching fast with the first Western Dressage show on May 19th and the first Greenhorn Western Stock Horse Show on June 2nd! This series of shows, along with the Tri C/V Ranch shows that are in full swing will be topped off this December with the year end awards banquet to acknowledge our Champions of 2013! Plan to join us for this Celebration!
This summer will also feature another week of training in Pennsylvania with the Master Eventer, Mr. Bruce Davidson. This is an amazing training opportunity. Lesson with your horse under some of the most important instruction you can get and a chance to push yourself and your horse to a new level. Just a note- check out the results from the 2013 Kentucky Rolex and join us in congratulating his son Buck Davidson! This summer training week already has 5 horses so act now
to come join us. Call (586) 212-9789
Some early show results, Carolyn Glowski and her horse Wow Wow Whubzy wins the Equitation Trophy at the Waterloo Hunter Trials! Congratulations!
It’s early in the season, however, it is already shaping up to be a busy one! Come join us!
